Switching from console to pc questions?!
Hi guys im a ps3 skyrim player and after putting in about 300 hours of gameplay i feel like ive taken the ps3 experience as far as i can, but listening to the podcast and talk about mods it seems to me that there are so many mods and just improvments the pc offers that would enhance my experience, so i have a few questions about skyrim on the pc and mods.
1 - whats the minimum running and graphics specs for skyrim on the pc?
2 - is there a limit to the amount of mods you can download?
3- are mods free?
4- do mods slow down gameplay if you have alot of them?
5- does skyrim on pc experience lag after a long running time or if alot of mods are running?
thanks ( im a pc noob i know )

1. Minimum CPU is a Core 2 Duo, 3.6GHz range or better. Minimum graphics card is either an nVidia or ATi with 1GB of RAM on it. Anything less than this, and the move from console really isn't worth it.
2. There used to be a bugged limit of 50 mods, but they've fixed that -- you can download and run as many mods as you can handle. Keep in mind, however, that the more mods you install, the more taxing it will be on your PC.
3. Player-produced mods will always be free. Only downloadable content (DLC) issued by Bethesda will be paid content.
4. Yes -- see #2. Some mods exert more of a burden than others. Stay away from high-resolution textures, extra scenery, and so on, if your PC is lower-end.
5. If the mods are in the right load order (consult the mod instructions for this if they exist), then optimally a PC shouldn't get more laggy after extended play with mods installed. But sometimes, problems happen, as mods are never perfect. That's one of the risks every player takes when using them.
Hope this helps!
