Your Favorite Skyrim Gear
OK all - I want to hear about your favorite weapons and armor/clothing - what have you been rocking lately???
For me -
- Nightingale Hood
- Ebony Mail (from Boethiah Daedric Quest) - it has an amazing black smoke/shadow effect when you sneak or when enemies are close
- Nightingale Gloves
- Nightingale Boots
Weapons:
- Ebony Blade (Deadric weapon from Mephala Quest)
- Ebony arrows
- Ebony Bow
- Deadric Swords - dual wield each with fire AND shock damage

Foresworn Armor - Looking sexified while fighting baddies
& Tavern Clothes - Looking SUPER-sexified while mixing drinks. I like to show-off the goods.

Re: Your Favorite Skyrim Gear
Not having oodles of time to work on leveling, I'm still under level 20, but as an Orc I made it a point to smith all of my own gear. I spent some time at an Orc stronghold, getting in touch with my roots, mining a pile of ore, and smithing an entire set of Orcish armor (epic) as well as some Orcish swords for dual-wielding (also epic).
I'm one of the rare people who don't really like the Daedric armor too much -- I call it Evil Porcupine Armor due to the excessive amount of spiky thingies on it. I'll be making some dragon armor when I get that far.

I'm not a big fan of the spikes, myself. Might work better on a male character, though.
I like to keep my male companions in Glass armor because they are easier to identify as "Not An Enemy" mid-battle.

I don't like the Daedric Armor eather. I don't like it because its uneven.
I use Ebony Armor. On PC, I use the white Ebony mod. Nothing looks better than Nightingale though.

I am Daedric porcupine of mass destruction by day and slip into my sneaky enchanted dragon light armour at night (2 x gauntlets, necklaces & rings: one set 40% bow + sneaking the other set 40% one hand and sneaking)

Just to let you know, there's an edit button.
I prefer Steel Plate since (IMO) it's the only higher-up armor that looks like it belongs in the world. Daedric is nice when facing down an Elder Dragon, but all other times, I go Steel Plate. As with weapons, I love dual-wielding Mace of Molag Boll and Dawnbreaker - they're both pretty, effective, and have a nice ying/yang feeling with em.

Re: Your Favorite Skyrim Gear
The Ancient Nord Armor it probably the most badass looking armor in the game, it's just a bit difficult to come across.
After that, I prefer Dragon armor. It's not as powerful as Deadric, but it looks cooler.
I like Daedric, but it looks a bit over-the-top.
As for weapons... If I go for a truly evil character, wearing Deadric armor, ya gotta use the Mace of Molag Baal. You totally look like freakin Sauron in that setup. SMASH ALL THE HOBBITSES!

Re: Your Favorite Skyrim Gear
I like all of these setups!
- Wolf armor is awesome - I would wear it with nordic steel bracers and an ancient nord helm - I didn't like the wolf helmet either...
- I use full ebony armor with the special Ebony Mail from the Boethiah daedric quest for my 'Sauron armor'... there is nothing like turning into a cloud of black smoke when your enemis approach. throw a flame cloak spell on top of that and you have a flaming cloud of black smoke charging in at the baddies - AWESOME... I will do that while dual wielding ebony war axes with fire+shock damage or using the sheild charge (perk) - fun fun fun... (and yes I am mentioning Ebony Mail AGAIN, to promote awareness - you must try this armor if you haven't already!!)
- @ Chysonallite - I agree with you, it feels weird walking around in crazy demon armor in the cities... i carry around a more socially acceptable outfit/armor for the townsfolk, and when it comes time to dive into a dungeon or complete an assassination, I transform into my secret baddass gear... only my brothers in arms get to see me in that stuff...
