Re: My new PC specs!
did you buy the grapics card overclocked, or did you do it yourself? I'm looking to upgrade my video card at least.
Re: My new PC specs!
i bouhgt it over clocked that way i didnt have to worry about the extra cooling in this case.

Sounds like a beautiful set up. How much did the total cost come out to? Did you build it yourself? I'm a noob when it comes to building computers myself. I just went and got a Lenovo Y570 which hasnt had too many issues running big games. I'm contemplating getting skyrim to see how it runs, though from what i've read people can run it at high settings and ultra if its overclocked but that stuff scares me. my specs are intel i7 quad core 8gb ram nvidia gt555m 1gb GDDR5

Re: My new PC specs!
In order to save money I bought an HP that had the hard drive, CPU and ram. I took out the power supply and gpu (graphics card) and put in a high end power supply and graphics card. Cost just under 1200.
As for you system specs you should be able to run skyrim just fine.

Joe - what is your lowest FPS in ultra mode with the HD enhancement for Skyrim? I see a lot of the higher end gaming machines have dual video cards - did you look at getting a dual card - is it necessary?

Re: My new PC specs!
99% of the time doing a cross fire (ati) or SLI config (nvidia) is useless. most all games and applications will never use the second vid card. so yeah i know of it but it is HUGE waist of money to squeeze out another 5 fps on high end games.
my low end (non streaming) is 65 fps i peeked out at 78fps. Ultra high res pack.
