A change of pace.

Meet Chattus do-Fangue.

Far from being the Dovahkiin, the savior of the world, the preordained slayer of Alduin the World-Eater... this guy totally deserved to get beheaded in Helgen. Neither the Imperial detail nor the Stormcloak prisoners knew the true nature of this mysterious companion they'd picked up when the Imp battalion ambushed the rebel troop movement -- Chattus is a killer. A cold-blooded, ruthless serial killer.

Leaving a trail of trashed houses and corpses behind him, do-Fangue is making his way in the general direction of Riften, a city he knows is choked with corruption... right up his street. There, he can make a name for himself. There, he can make lots and lots of coin. There, he can rule.

I write this particular post with Evarwyn in mind, because I have just gone into the vampire den at Haemar's Shame, the site of what is supposed to be the Daedra's Best Friend quest. Sneaking, archering, and back-stabbing my way through this dungeon, I managed to isolate the Master Vampire boss at the end, sitting before the statue of Clavicus Vile.

Unlike Evarwyn, who died eleventy-seven times in horrible fashion trying to take down a Master Vampire, I managed to pull it off on my first attempt. Sneaking up behind him, I took him out with three well-placed backstabs and a throat-slash killcam.
